Pasadena Traumatic Brain Injury Lawyers
Understanding Your Legal Rights After a Traumatic Brain Injury
According to the National Safety Council, roughly 4.9 million Americans required medical attention for motor vehicle injuries in 2024 alone, but car accidents are just one of several ways a traumatic brain injury (TBI) can happen. Falls, workplace incidents, and plant or refinery accidents can cause the same kind of sudden, forceful blow to the head. A TBI can range from a mild, short-term concussion to a coma or even death, and it's exactly the kind of catastrophic injury that can change the course of a person's life in an instant.
If you or a loved one suffered a TBI because of someone else's negligence, our Pasadena brain injury attorneys can help make sure you're adequately compensated for the damages you've suffered.

What Is a Traumatic Brain Injury?
A TBI is an injury to the brain caused by a sudden blow or jolt to the head. The injury happens at the moment of impact, when the soft brain strikes against the rough, hard interior of the skull. This can damage certain lobes, or sometimes the entire brain. A person may appear fine immediately after the accident, but the brain can incur delayed trauma, including swelling that pushes against the inside of the skull, reduces blood flow, and causes secondary injuries.
Some symptoms of a traumatic brain injury include:
- Losing consciousness
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Confusion or memory loss
- Irritability
- Dizziness
- Lack of focus or concentration
- Seizures
Whether or not you experience these symptoms, it's critical to seek medical attention following any accident involving a blow to the head.

“Mr. Soileau represented me in a car accident that occurred in November 2014 where I suffered a herniated disc to my neck requiring surgery. After surgery the medical bills were piling up which caused me quite a bit of stress worrying about how all of the medical bills were going to get paid. As my case was complicated and took almost 2 years to work through, Mr. Soileau and his staff were very understanding of my situation throughout the whole ordeal. They took the time to answer my questions, assist with getting the appropriate medical care and kept me in the loop throughout the process. The outcome was much better than I expected. I highly recommend Mr. Soileau and will refer my family and friends if they ever find themselves in need of his services.”- J.N.
